Bipra 60GB 2.5 inch USB 2.0 NTFS External Hard Drive - Blue

THIS IS NOT A NEW PRODUCT
I've only had this hard drive for a few days now and it seems to be working fine.

HOWEVER, upon opening the hard drive I discovered that you are actually being sold a SECOND HAND REFURBISHED hard drive in a new case as mine had a toshiba refurbished sticker on it.

Although this hasn't effected the performance of the device I thought it was worth mentioning that this product is being advertised as a new hard drive when really they are refurbished and second hand products.

good but one issue.
the product itself is a good little piece of kit, only 598Gb of actual memory free to the user (as opposed to the marketed 640Gb) but works well nonetheless.

takes a few minutes to install and boot up on computer but after that once the computer recognizes it it's good to go.

while it works fine on my windows 7 laptop and windows vista desktop computer, it will not show up on the two xp computers it was intended for. the purpose for buying this hard drive was to allow for computer backups and to save afew photos to free up space on an iphone.

rung the manufacturers and they say that although it is compatible with xp, some people (most people from what I've read) have problems using it with windows xp.

so just a warning for you all, if you want to use an external hard drive on an xp computer, don't choose this one without expecting some problems.

apart from that, its a handy little storage device with a big...
