Anker® USB 3.0 & eSATA Hard Drive Enclosure for 2.5-inch SATA 9.5mm and 12.5mm HDD & SSD
Don't waste your money
After inserting the hard drive the case didn't want to close. Eventually I got it to close by pushing the lid in, holding it and then fiddling with the release button and pushing it across. Fiddly and should be unnecessary. Poor build quality.
Initially the product worked and I was going to award a 3 star in this review. Basically because it worked but it was poor build quality. It then just stopped working. I tried it on several different PCs. I reinserted the drive. I tried USB 2 instead of USB 3 (USB 2 did nothing at all), where as USB 3 at least tried to work!
I've given up on it. Between shipping abroad to where I live and the cost of the product I've wasted around 35 GBP. Save your money and buy something else.

Edit 7 Oct 2013 - Just add that Anker have been very proactive in trying to deal with the defective product. They have now issued a full refund. Whilst the product was poor in my opinion, their service...
Anker® USB 3.0 & eSATA Hard Drive Enclosure for 2.5-inch SATA 9.5mm and 12.5mm HDD & SSD
Poor Quality
Broke after a few weeks of usage.
Spring loaded closing mechanism is temperamental.
USB 3 port on the unit ripped out with the cable, was not very well attached.
Seemed like a nice idea, but really cheaply made.

Nicely built and fast assembly
I have assembled several portable hard drives in a variety of enclosures, most of which were in the past and either USB 1.0 or USB 2.0. I have installed a few in USB 3.0 enclosures and all appear to be more substantially built than the older versions.
Anker may not be a widely-known name but I have used a small number of their branded products and found them all to be reliable in use. Some have been HDD enclosures and they proved better and consistently more reliable than those of another popular brand renowned for similar products.
This enclosure is slightly different from other USB 3.0 enclosure for 2.5-inch drives in that it offers eSATA and USB 3.0, the former by a standard connector and the latter via a micro USB 3.0 connector, which is far from being non-standard as another reviewer appears to believe. In fact, of several pre-assembled USB 3.0-enabled 2.5-inch hard drives I either own or have used and several more that I had assembled in third-party...
