Works well - With both PC and Mac
As the CD/DVD player on my computer only works intermittently I thought the best answer was an external USB connected DVD drive. I needed a unit that would both read and write and this fitted the bill perfectly. It is so simple to use and gets the power it needs directly from the USB connection. I believe some people with Macs (the computer not the raincoat!) may have problems getting this to power up, but for PCs, no problem at all. I am extremely pleased with the unit and have been using it now for several months with no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Since writing this review, I decided to expand my systems and bought a Mac mini, after being so impressed with my sons iMac. As the Mac mini doesnt have a DVD/CD drive I plugged in my Samsung DVD Writer which worked fine. This arrived super fast and worked straight from the box. Im not too hot on tec stuff but didnt need to be. No problems noticed so far....playing my CD's and burning was easy and very quick. very good bit of kit for really good price.
