Sandisk Cruzer USB 16 GB RB

Poor quality
Despite this being a "newer model" for the sandisk cruzer (previous one is the sandisk cruzer micro I believe), it is far inferior in quality:

Packaging: no item packet - it is a USB stick inserted 'as is' in the postal envelope with no item packaging, instruction leaflet, warranty or anything

Item features: not 16gb but 14gb. Also no U3 drive on the device so you CANNOT setup any passwords/encryption/security. When I tried to install a new U3 drive directly from sandisk then the message comes up saying: "this is not a sandisk device so U3 cannot be installed"

I do not know whether this item was a used one and someone had deleted the U3 drive from it but would be surprised as bought directly from amazon, not a marketplace seller

Stick to the old sandisk cruzer micros me thinks!

Warning: This drive is slow!
This drive's write speed in my experience never gets above 5MB/s which is quite slow when compared to my Kingston 16GB drive which writes at 15MB/s. Apart from that is works ok. It's a shame the drive's read / write speed is not listed in the specs, that way you can at least make an informed choice...

Solid product
I used this recently to backup ps3 files while swopping a hard drive. Worked a treat.

There are faster sticks out there but at this price it represents good value.

Simple and effective. Was packaged well and arrived in decent time.
